About the Team

Manage all aspects of the month end close and forecasting. Work on strategic projects to identify expense savings and operational efficiencies as well as budget and three-year plan.

About the Role

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will participate within a team environment to prepare insightful financial presentations and provide financial analysis to accomplish a high level of service to senior management and operational business units in guiding overall company financial planning.

* Develop insight and influential financial presentations for senior management and Board to concisely summarize performance targets and highlight key business components and make recommendations that have considerable impact.
* Provide financial and analytical support for department functions including development of the three-year financial plan, annual operating plan budget, monthly forecast, capital project analysis, and other performance analysis
* Directly interface with senior management and develop cross functional relationships, act as back up to manager in meetings such as close and business partner meetings.
* Lead projects from concept to building models and deliver "final product" ready work with minimal direction.
* Address complex issues and have significant business implications
* Work independently with regards to information and confirm that work product is accurate and that numbers tie.
* Share accountability with manager and deliver results.
* Focus on operational and supply chain.
* Perform monthly accounting functions focusing on the brand.
* Develop knowledge and relationships with selected business units to guide plan process and understand planning issues.
* Assist brand cost centers owners with preparing month-end accruals and help non-financial staff to understand accrual-based accounting methodology.
* Investigate, analyze, and present recommendations regarding various special projects relating to business operations and drive improvement initiatives using technical ability.
* Contribute technical knowledge and have a solid proficiency of finance systems, such as Lawson, Hyperion Essbase, and Blueprint, to help support company database and facilitate planning analyses.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

* You have a bachelor's degree or higher in Finance or related degree
* 4 + years relevant work experience in a financial role demonstrating analytic skills and system-reliant decision support. Retail experience a plus
* Self-motivated, positive attitude, and an intellectual curiosity to investigate variance issues. Also possesses appropriate attention to detail.
* Strong consulting, problem solving, and conceptual skills, along with interpersonal skills necessary to work with various levels of management
* Solid written and verbal communication skills

Technical Competencies required:

* Working Knowledge of GAAP, as applied to financial reporting standards
* Experience with corporate computerized budgeting/accounting systems and multidimensional database management skills (Lawson/Hyperion Essbase preferred).
* Expect-level proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (VBA experience a plus) and PowerPoint. Experience with database querying a plus.
