About the Team

Our creative team is responsible for producing Williams Sonoma Kitchen and Williams Sonoma Home catalogs, mailers and other special projects for print. Our goal is to provide elevated on-brand graphics and messaging to ensure our customer has the best shopping experience possible.

About the Role

In the Production Artist role, you'll be partnering closely with designers, copywriters and merchants to produce layout files for both of our brands. You'll use your technical skill combined with an eye for design to style selling copy, fine-tune crops, adjust content placement and ensure the overall look and feel of the page translates to a clear and compelling customer experience.

* Partner with design, content and merchant teams to create catalog pages as well as organize and execute page revisions and layout redesigns.
* Offer insightful solutions to layout issues such as copy fit or image placement.
* Maintain templates and complicated paragraph styles for a cohesive look throughout each project.
* Be able to shift mindset between two brands and multiple projects easily and comfortably several times a day.
* Have the opportunity to be hands-on, working side by side with a fun, creative and collaborative team of people.
* Creatively solve issues identified by our merchandising partners under the tight restrictions of production deadlines and budgets.
* Participate in developing realistic time lines, manage shifting deadlines and prioritize daily workload.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

* You love the production! (This is not Designer role, the focus is the production side)
* You love details and are very organized.
* You can communicate with a wide range of personalities.
* You are a hard worker and also play well with others.

Technical Competencies required:

* You have 3 years in the industry and are a very capable InDesign user. Photoshop skills a plus.
