About the Team

You will be part of a small but mighty tight knit team that works to liquidate excess product as profitably as possible. Along with your direct team, you will also work with your cross functional merchandising and planning counterparts.

About the Role

In the Outlet Planning role, you will have the unique opportunity to truly own a business. You will contribute to the essential function of clearing through excess product profitably.

Essential Functions

* Manage and maintain department financial forecast (OTB/rolling forecast). Take timely action to maximize sales, profitability and inventory productivity.
* Develop and provide appropriate business analysis to influence future purchases and assortment strategies.
* Lead or participate in department projects to improve systems or efficiencies.
* Plan sales and forecast appropriate inventory levels by SKU while balancing existing ownership in brand overstocks.
* Optimize allocations in areas of responsibility to all outlet stores to maximize sales, margin and sell through.
* Manage communications with DC and Transportation teams to ensure efficient and on time truck deliveries for all Outlet stores.
* Manage and optimize Home store inventory levels
* Review visual floor set to insure appropriate inventory in-stock requirements.
* Identify potential inventory liabilities and take appropriate actions to bring quantity to a desired level.
* Build a team relationship with merchant counterpart(s).
* Determine quantity to purchase for new and continuing SKU s.
* Forecast, review and revise inventory purchases to maintain optimum inventory flow and maximize turn.
* Develop department financial merchandise plans in conjunction with the Merchant.
* Participate as an integral partner with visual, merchandising, and the distribution centers.
* Provide initial and future order quantities to Assistant Planner for P.O. generation and communication to the vendor.
* Determine and prioritize workload for team.
* Recommend effective processes and procedures to improve workflow and results.
* Interview candidates and make hiring recommendations.
* Provide leadership and ongoing training and development to create a positive team environment.
* Oversee appropriate system parameters, profiles, safety stocks, display minimums, etc. to achieve store/item in stock goals and objectives
