JOB DESCRIPTION

About the Team

The Food Merchandising department is responsible for the development, sourcing and selection of products sold in our distinct retail concepts and through our catalog. Merchandising responsibilities vary by category and may include developing new products, designing packaging, tracking production of goods and determining retail price points.

About the Role

In the Merch Coordinator role, you will provide support and coordination for the Associate and Sr Buyer of the Perishable Foods team. You will input, proof, and analyze data for all areas of Perishable Foods and Cookbooks.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will...

* Enter and maintain all price changes for DTC (Direct to Customer) and Retail, working closely with inventory partners.
* Communicate as needed with agents and vendors on behalf of buying team in regards to project and sample status, costing/ sku worksheets, and packaging/ labeling needs.
* Prepare food samples and schedule tastings for team meetings
* Set up and maintenance of all skus.
* Track and open packages and samples; coordinate movement of merchandise to sample rooms.
* Attend team meetings with merchandising and inventory.
* Prepare analysis as directed.
* General administrative duties.
* Assist in quarterly retail floor sets.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

* Love for cooking and baking (preparation, presentation, and food handling knowledge)
* 1-2 years of customer service, retail, or corporate admin
* BA/BS desired but not required
* A passion for retail and merchandising
* Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables and v-lookups)
* A high attention to detail
* A strong work ethic and self-motivation
* Ability to work in a fast paced, often-changing environment
