WSI currently operates in the United States, Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom and offers international shipping to customers worldwide. WSI has 2 franchise partners that operate stores in the Middle East with stores opening in the Philippines in 2014.

Position Summary

Responsible for leading the development and publication of Williams-Sonoma online culinary content; develop and execute strategies to leverage existing assets and produce new content that adds value to customers' online experience.

Specific Responsibilities

Plan, manage and write the Williams-Sonoma blog, Taste

* Take full ownership of blog operations including maintaining daily editorial calendar, assigning and editing freelance contributors, writing blog posts, and publishing in Wordpress.
* Provide weekly and seasonal recaps including suggestions and recommendations to optimize traffic and engagement going forward.

* Work closely with PR, Brand Marketing and Social teams to identify opportunities for strategic partnerships with external editorial voices

* Come up with new, compelling ideas and continue to grow traffic.

Plan seasonal online content production and larger brand campaigns

* Develop unique content to support cross-channel brand merchandising themes and marketing initiatives
* Produce and write designed seasonal pages and comprehensive guides for
* Work with email, PR and brand marketing teams to find creative ways to use our content channels to support larger campaigns, such as in-store events, book signings and relevant culinary content.
* Concept ideas, menus and stories for seasonal content plans
* Work with internal and external partners to create and market content. Communicate effectively with all partners and represent the brand in a positive light when working with external ones.
* Attend photo shoots as needed.

Manage video production process

* Work with Content Director to concept and script videos including product demonstration and cooking videos.
* Attend monthly video shoot to collaborate with talent and director to ensure best outcome.
* Work with video editor and graphics team to refine videos.
* Manage video editing process and creative review process to ensure timely video launch.



* 4-6 years of content management, editorial, publishing, journalism, culinary or similar professional experience
* Significant writing/journalism experience
* Undergraduate degree required
* Actively involved culinary community, with a thorough understanding of related trends and issues
* Extensive knowledge of food and cooking
* Adept and using and understanding social media including Facebook and Instagram
* Proven editorial or feature writing experience
* Familiarity with web content management systems and processes
* Established project management skills, with ability to organize and prioritize efficiently
* Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to establish strong relationships with cross-functional teams at all levels
* Self-motivated and passionate about creating compelling customer-facing content
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Highly creative with strong conceptual capabilties
* Digital publishing experience preferred
* Ability to work off-hours and off-site necessary for events, conferences and photo shoots.
