About the Role:

In this Associate Buyer role, you will develop business strategies and seasonal assortment plans to maximize the development of the brand, sales, and profits for Glassware. You will identify opportunities and recommend new products or concepts, and coordinate information across functions, working closely with Design, Inventory Management, Sourcing, Production, Packaging and Creative Services to ensure the process is followed and timelines met. You will also obtain samples for photo shoots and participate in Design meetings.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will...

* Assist Sr Buyer with developing seasonal and core product mix. Participate in the development of annual and seasonal financial plans.
* Identify emerging trends, perform market analysis, and develop business strategies outlining strengths, weaknesses, and new opportunities. Communicate annual and seasonal strategies to functional areas (Inventory, Design, Sourcing, Production, Packaging, Creative Services, etc).
* Collaborate with Inventory Management on purchase quantities, delivery dates, flow and exit strategies.
* Recommend catalog layouts to Sr Buyer. Communicate key product items and collaborate with Creative Services for layouts.
* Provide Inventory Management with final assortment plans (line lists), product details, target retails, estimated IMU, importance to overall assortment (big bets), flow to DC and floor plan location for developing purchase projections and buy plans.
* Collaborate with Inventory Management and recommend adjustments (markdowns, delivery changes and quantity changes) to the plan to maximize sales, profits, budget (OTB) and to protect the brand.
* Provide information on promotion strategies and markdown goods to Creative Services.
* Resolve, handle, and escalate difficult issues to Buyer.
* Summarize and communicate merchandising information for store newsletters and emails. Coordinate with Store Ops for disseminating information through appropriate channels.
* Investigate and respond to escalated customer service issues. Coordinate communication strategies with Product Information team.
* Analyze returns and recommend solutions to reduce return rate. Work with packaging to improve protective packaging.
* Communicate pre-ticketing instructions to Sourcing and Production. Provide Inventory Management with pre-ticketing prices.
* Provide SKU information to Merchandising Operations for input.

We're excited about you because you have the following qualifications...

* BA/BS in Merchandising, Business, or related field.
* 4+ years in Merchandising; experience buying for home goods in an omni-channel retail environment preferred.
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to analyze results; passion for data.
* Meticulous attention to detail.
