Description

The Social Media & Community Coordinator will be responsible for managing all UK social channels, collaborating with influencers to create engaging content and will support the PR & Brand Marketing manager on consumer and media (press & influencer) events.

This role is highly-collaborative and ideal for a fast-moving lateral thinker who thrives on challenges and loves interiors. An ability to excel unsupervised, as well as collaboratively with the team is a necessity.

With exemplary time management skills, a can-do attitude and the ability to problem solve, the Social Media & Community Coordinator will play a vital role in growing the UK business.

Responsibilities

Social

* Maintain the UK social accounts for west elm and Pottery Barn Kids (Instagram, Facebook + Pinterest)
* Schedule daily social posts for both brands
* Keep up to date with platform developments an adapt approach when needed
* Showcase new collections, collaborations, promotions, events and UGC

Influencer collaborations

* Identify and manage all influencer relationships and projects
* Execute monthly projects in line with seasonal and promotional activity
* Proactive outreach to key targets
* Oversee entire collaboration process -- from initial contact to placing orders, facilitating contracts and feeding content out via appropriate channels (e.g. social, website, emails, blog etc.)

Events

* Help to plan and execute an exciting schedule of events for both customers and media in line with marketing calendar activity
* Source and book vendors
* Collaborate with store and ecomm teams to promote
* Cover on social media generating a buzz around the brand and stores

Store Events & Social

* Oversee store community managers activity, training and assisting when necessary

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelor's Degree
* 2+ years' experience in relevant role
* Retail industry experience a plus
* Core competencies:

* Excellent copywriting skills
* Experience using social scheduling & analytics tools
* Strong Microsoft Office proficiency required, including Excel, Word and Powerpoint. Adobe Creative Suite experience a plus (InDesign, Photoshop)
* Existing knowledge of the UK media landscape including existing relationships/experience with both press and influencers
* Genuine interest and demonstrated knowledge of interiors and retail
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability and confidence to build relationships
* Ability to work independently and take responsibility and ownership of projects and tasks
* Results-oriented, with a sense of urgency and drive for continual improvement
* Eager to learn and continually develop self
