We're looking for a highly motivated Social Media Manager to help us develop, implement, and optimize social strategies in Canada. You will be responsible for crafting creative briefs, coordinating shoot dates with influencers, and developing data-driven recommendations on media and creative strategy. You will collaborate with corporate and global brand teams, store ops and customer care. You should be extremely organized and creative, with a knack for project management and attention to detail.

This role will help WSI develop and manage cross-brand social engagement programs for Canada; inclusive of West Elm, Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids and Williams Sonoma.

They will be responsible for building a social media presence in Canada by leveraging our current Canadian and U.S. website, content, store accounts and campaigns and actively engaging in ongoing dialogue with the Canadian consumer. In addition, they will develop and manage partnerships with vendors and social media organizations in Canada.

This role is highly-collaborative and ideal for a fast-moving lateral thinker who thrives on challenges and loves interiors. An ability to excel unsupervised, as well as collaboratively with the team is a necessity.

With exemplary time management skills, must be a self-starter with a can-do attitude and the ability to problem solve, the Social Media Manager will play a vital role in growing the Canadian business.

* Content & Community management

* Be the voice of the brand on owned and public forums, educating and responding to consumer queries in partnership with the Customer Care team
* Work directly with influencers to develop themes, set campaign details, and coordinate shoot dates and product withdrawals
* Drive and monitor fan engagement, increases in fan base and followers

* Collaborate with corporate brand teams to develop social media strategy and execute plan in Canada.

* Engage influencers and consumers by creating conversations, engagement with local communities and local events and activities in partnership with local Store Ops teams
* Adapt and leverage U.S. content to create engagement in Canada. Collaborate with local photographer/videographer to construct creative briefs for influencers
* Monitor and report key metrics and communicate results to the organization

* Identify and recommend new opportunities for customer engagement and building prospect base

* Monitor existing communities within target market to develop ideas, identify emerging topics and trends, driving qualified audiences
* Develop, leverage and share cross-brand best practices
* Monitor and report out on technical and marketing trends within content and community
* Monitor competitive efforts to engage customers


* 1+ years of professional experience in influencer marketing, social media, communications, digital marketing, or related fields
* Only those with social media strategy / community management need apply.
* Experience with retail, direct and online marketing tactics a plus.
* Fluency in verbal and written French is required to support Quebec market
* Demonstrated project management experience, preferably in marketing
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with excellent ability to build relationships
* Talented copywriter (excellent writing skills -must provide writing samples)
* Experience with social media platforms including blogs, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest
* Understanding of basic HTML, social media publishing tools, photo editing and blog publishing.
* Creative, smart and self-motivated, can work independently
* Passionate about social media and our brands. Interest in home furnishings, design, entertaining, cooking and art a plus.
