JOB DESCRIPTION

(Multiple Positions Available)

Location: San Jose, CA

Terms: 10 - 12-week temp contract on a Williams-Sonoma W2 (Non-exempt)

Hours:

* Monday -- Friday; 35-40 hours per week
* Work hours: anytime between 8 AM -- 7 PM ( 1-hour unpaid lunch break); 8 hours max per day

We are looking for additional (for a total of 6) experienced data entry clerks that can handle a heavy volume of work for a 10 to 12-week temporary work cycle. This is a great contract opportunity to gain experience at a great technology company within the retail AR/VR space.

Job Duties:

* Maintains an internal web application/database by entering new and updated customer and account information
* Prepares source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information; establishing entry priorities
* Processes customer and account source documents by reviewing data for deficiencies; resolving discrepancies by using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the team leader for resolution
* Enters customer and account data by inputting alphabetic and numeric information on keyboard or optical scanner according to screen format
* Verifies entered customer and account data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or reentering data; combining data from both systems when account information is incomplete; purging files to eliminate duplication of data
* Tests customer and account system changes and upgrades by inputting new data; reviewing output
* File, Scan, and review documents as needed
* Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes
* Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential
* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Skills and Qualifications:

* Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree
* 2-year professional work experience within an office space as an admin or assistant or similar
* Excellent Organizational skills and Communication skills (written & verbal)
* Experience working with Google Sheets and/or MS Excel
* Basic computer experience with Mac and/or Windows systems
* Able to type 45 WPM
* Data Entry Skills and the ability to make sound judgments when analyzing information
* Attention to Detail, Confidentiality
* Ability to multi-task and be proactive in a fast-paced environment
