Job Overview

We are actively seeking a Mid-Senior Account Manager to join our fast-paced, growing team. You will be a vital part of helping manage and grow our business while providing critical feedback from the field to improve and define our transformative new product lines, that are redefining the shopping experience.

As an Account Manager, you will:

Serve as a liaison between the client side and internal project execution team members in creative, production and engineering departments. This involves solution development with the customer with the understanding of internal capabilities and priorities. A successful account manager will also help manage expectations and deliveries in the project fulfillment phase. The account manager is responsible for finding additional opportunities for solution development or product placement within their client portfolio.

An account manager at Outward will do the following:

* Interact directly with customers from project managers to senior executives.
* Identify, quote and execute on additional products and/or revenue growth opportunities.
* Guide internal team on customer projects and expectations.
* Manage client expectations related to project fulfillment capabilities.
* Understand customer needs and deliver effective solutions to meet customer needs
* Flow customer feedback to the appropriate internal team members and/or process improvements.
* Monitor and manage client/internal project team communication with the client. This includes savvy problem solving, escalating requests and proposing a new approach when necessary.
* Understand current sales and marketing trends and the needs of our clients and look for opportunities to provide solutions.
* Manage invoicing and budget processes.
* Aggregate project data from production, engineering, and creative teams and provide routine client updates in a digestible format.
* Learn from client communications and projects and apply that learning to internal processes, future projects, and customer communications.

As an Account Manager, you should be:

* An effective communicator in meetings and over email

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

To be considered for this position, you must have:

* 2-5 years of experience managing customer accounts for web applications and enterprise products
* Basic knowledge of agile and waterfall methodologies
* Solid grasp of eCommerce fundamentals, technologies, and commercial platforms in the retail context
* Bachelor's degree, or equivalent related experience
* Experience in eCommerce or related field for retail customers in the home industry is a plus
* Residents of California is highly preferred
