JOB DESCRIPTION

The IT Vendor Management - Program Manager is the centralized point of contact responsible for building and managing a vendor strategy for the IT organization. This resource will manage the Williams-Sonoma IT Labor program and the vendor management processes and tools. The Vendor Management Program Manager will have a focus on strategic vendor relationships, making sure contract terms are fulfilled and any risk is identified.

The Vendor Management Program Manager works closely with the IT Leadership Team, Office of the CIO, IT Teams, Vendor Relationship Managers, Contracts Specialists, and Strategic Vendors to ensure the successful delivery of the contracted services and/or products to meet WSI's business objectives.

You will:

* Develop and enhance IT sourcing strategies
* Generate recommendations for process improvements
* Ensure the Labor Program guidelines and processes are documented, communicated, and achieved
* Develop and communicate a vendor road map, governance strategy and scorecard
* Participate as the business owner in the Labor Management System (LMS/VMS) project
* Coordinate User and Admin support training for the LMS
* Manage and support the end users for the LMS tool
* Track, measure, report and evaluate vendor performance (manually and with LMS/VMS)
* Act as a liaison between the strategic/preferred vendors and IT
* Provide guidance, advice, and support to Vendors and Vendor Relationship Managers (VRM)
* Define the role of the VRM's
* Coordinate a monthly forum for the VRM population to ensure consistency
* Assist with the categorization and scoring of the Strategic, Preferred and Specialty vendors to prepare a sourcing plan, demand forecast and spend allocations for each vendor
* Identify and maintain the process for approving and managing potential new vendors
* Ensure vendors deliver the products, services and efficiencies specified in their agreement

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

IT Vendor Management -- Program manager must have the following skills:

* 5+ years' experience in IT Vendor Management
* 2+ years' experience using a Vendor Management System tool
* Knowledge of accounting and finance principles and procedures a plus
* Contracts management experience a plus
* Strong communications skills (verbal and written)
* Proven researching ability
* Strong analytical skills and problem solving ability
* Strong Microsoft Excel, Power Point, and Visio experience
* Strong presentation skills
* Able to build and maintain partnerships, even as issues arise
* Background in project management methodologies
* Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Finance, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related fields, or equivalent work experience
