About the Team

You will be part of the Supply Chain PMO team responsible for the delivery of critical portfolio initiatives. You will collaborate with in-house and vendor Development teams to deliver application solutions while being personally accountable for the administrative aspects of the projects. Our job is to ensure that every WSI location, associate, and the customer has the best experience possible utilizing effective Supply Chain solutions.

About the Role

Williams Sonoma is looking for a seasoned, experienced IT Project Management professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures to deliver complex, large-scale enterprise application/solutions within a retail environment.

* Work on problems/projects of diverse scope and high complexity.
* Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for defining and executing solutions.
* Have the ability to use established project management methodologies/tools to develop and execute project plans including -- schedules, milestones, critical paths, project scope. Has experience with waterfall and modified agile methodologies. Is skilled in completing all SDLC deliverables with quality and attention to detail.
* Be responsible for deliverables, monitoring, communicating statuses & issues and financial management of projects.
* Guide resources to meet necessary goals.
* Plan, monitor, and track delivery of quality control and take corrective action as appropriate.
* Communicate project information to all project team members, sponsors, vendors and IT leaders, as appropriate.
* Be responsible for detailed tracking of project budgets and forecast.
* Perform variance analysis (including schedule, costs vs. budgets, resources and changes to scope).
* Perform project risk assessment quantification, response planning and control.
* Communicate risks to clients and/or IT management, project sponsors & vendors. Develops and executes mitigation strategies.
* Collaborate with business and IT teams to define business and technical requirements.
* Collaborate with IT teams to define/select solutions and determines the impact of current/existing technologies.
* Evaluate alternative operational efficiencies /business process change.
* Collect and assess project estimates from all partners -- IT, business, vendors, Change Management, etc. Incorporate into budget/forecast.
* Create and manage detailed project plan reflective of all phases of the project. Make recommendations to mitigate late tasks.
* Collaborate with IT teams/vendors to build and deliver solutions.
* Collaborate with QA team to ensure business requirements have been successfully delivered and technical requirements have been met.
* Collaborate with Change Management to define and deliver training materials and execute effective training to business users.
* Plan and execute solution delivery.
* Ensure project team prepares solution for turnover to production support.
* Coach, mentor, and train as appropriate.

Desired Skills and Experience

* Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
* 8+ years experience in managing enterprise application delivery projects in a retail environment - (a plus)
* Proven ability to create project charters, resource plans, manage budgets, tracking projects, mitigate risks and issues
* Strong presence and professionalism
* Certified Scrum Master (CSM, ACP) credential (optional)
* Project Management Professional (PMP) credential (optional)
* Excellent business communication, writing, and interpersonal skills
* Skilled in business process analysis/design, preferably with experience in the retail industry -- specifically Supply Chain
* Customer focus
* Capable of making reliable decisions
* Orientation toward results and high quality
* Excellent planning & organization skills
* Demonstrated analysis/assessment capabilities
* Capable of coaching/mentoring and conflict management/negotiation
* Demonstrates the ability to do financial management of the projects.
* Has a working knowledge of Jira, MSProject, MSVisio, MSWord, MSExcel, CA Clarity
