Williams-Sonoma is seeking a highly-driven, high-performing Flex PLM Sr Application Engineer to join our Global PLM Systems team for the delivery and support of large-scale, complex system applications, and/or multiple small to mid-sized applications. Qualified candidates for this opportunity will possess expertise in the following key areas:

* Play a critical role in the implementation of the company's large-scale, complex system applications, and/or multiple small to mid-sized applications in the capacity of Application Lead -- Global PLM Systems
* Provide technical expertise using PTC Flex PLM system
* Presents solution alternatives to WSI business partners to support business processes and objectives
* Identify and develop Conceptual and Solution designs for the Global PLM systems
* Analyzes, designs, configures and installs large and complex system applications, in accordance with WSI methodologies, technical standards, time and budget estimates.
* Guides, assists or mentors other team members in analysis, design, configuration, coding, testing, etc.
* Plans, estimates and prioritizes work assignments for self and other team members at each stage of a project
* Communicates to management on status, problems, issues, and underlying process changes as they occur throughout WSI.
* Manages vendors and contractors for specific projects or systems

Duties and Responsibilities

* Works closely with customers, business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions
* Has experience in systems analysis, design and a solid understanding of development, quality assurance and integration methodologies.
* Designs interface and conversion needs for data and process to enhance existing systems or develop new ones.
* Recommend, design, develop, test and implement new capabilities and enhancements based on feedback from users.
* Support to manage and prioritize system issue and bug resolution.
* Work closely with team to detect, diagnose and remediate production issues.
* Provide input into & review of system configuration documentation including fields, workflow, attributes, etc.
* Continually work to ensure the system is performing as expected and meeting the needs of business partners.
* Support resolving issues, gaps and defects escalated by users and/or key business stakeholders
* Reviews technical work of other team members, ensuring adherence to IT standards.
* Performs other job-related duties as assigned


Requirements /Qualifications

* Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent work experience
* 8+ years of related work experience using PTC Flex PLM application
* Strong analytical skills. Able to problem solve using logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions
* Technical expertise in Java/J2EE Technologies, JavaScript, XML, and XSL, Oracle Database PL/SQL, Agile Methodology.
* Technical expertise in application systems design, enterprise application integration, software testing, documentation
* Considerable business knowledge, preferably in the retail industry
* Strong planning and organizational skills with a sense of priority for deadlines and attention to detail
* Demonstrated ability to instruct, guide and oversee the work of other team members
