About the Team

You will be part of the Investor Relations and Corporate Public Relations team responsible for raising the profile of Williams-Sonoma, Inc. and maintaining strong relationships with investors, sell-side analysts, media and other key stakeholders. Our team's focus is two-fold: increasing shareholder value through effective communication of WSI's strategy, financial results and operations to the financial community; driving recognition for WSI as an industry leader in innovation, product design, sustainability, etc.

About the Role

We are looking for a hard-working individual with a can-do mindset for this unique and highly visible role. The ideal candidate will exhibit exceptional business writing and analytical skills, and critical thinking ability. He/she will need to demonstrate experience in working under high pressure, dynamic situations. This position will serve as the first point-of-contact to the investor community and media, including traditional, social and digital. In addition, he/she will play an instrumental role in developing and executing the investor relations and corporate PR strategies, and report directly to the Head of Investor Relations/Corporate Public Relations.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will...

* Support the execution of the quarterly earnings cycle, inclusive of drafting the earnings call script and press release, tracking analyst expectations and preparing Q&A and financial analysis/models.
* Monitor and periodically summarize financial analyst research for executive management
* Own core daily operations of the IR team, including the monitoring of stock price movements, organizing investor/analyst calls or meetings and summarizing sell-side research
* Coordinating non-deal roadshows, investor visits, annual meetings and analyst days
* Supporting the development and execution of media plans for corporate announcements and cross-brand initiatives, coordinating with brand teams when necessary
* Developing briefing documents for executive speaking and interview opportunities
* Researching and developing a calendar for relevant corporate rankings, awards and ratings, and work with appropriate teams to produce submissions
* Maintaining a WSI crisis playbook and execute on issues management when necessary, coordinating across brands when applicable
* Monitoring, directing and responding to incoming corporate media inquiries
* Monitoring and tracking media coverage for WSI, peers and industry developments

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelor's degree in business, finance or demonstrated related proficiency - MBA a plus
* Financial acumen and financial analysis skills required
* 3-5+ years of relevant experience in an IR, sell-side/buy-side role, preferably in the retail industry
* Exceptional business writing skills a must
* Ability to think critically, prioritize and manage shifting responsibilities in a dynamic, fast-paced, cross-functional team environment
* Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail
* Positive attitude, drive, flexibility, strong work ethic and an openness to learn
* Ability to work autonomously with a focus on the long-term strategic goals
* Exceptional project management skills and the ability to structure and manage multiple workstreams simultaneously and drive to completion
* Willingness to roll-up sleeves and get the work, big and small, done
* Experience in working under high-pressure, dynamic environments
* Exceptional in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
* Passion for and strong interest in the home category
