About the Team

You will be part of the Digital Marketing team responsible for developing strategies and optimizing William-Sonoma, Inc.'s digital spend across all 8 Brands and International efforts. WSI manages all large digital programs in-house, and this role is critical in ensuring the accurate and timely execution for the display channel as well as leading reporting across all digital programs.

About the Role

The Digital Marketing Operations and Data Analysis Manager will lead the team responsible for quality implementation, including ad trafficking, display campaign setup and QA, and facilitating measurement of digital ad campaigns across all of Williams-Sonoma, Inc. Brands. This candidate will join at an exciting time as WSI rolls out a Business Intelligence Tool and will be the lead on this high-visibility project. This position will manage 3 Media Operations Analysts.

* Facilitate workflow and communication among internal and external business partners including; Operations Analysts, in-house Media Strategy and Programmatic teams, DSPs and Publishers
* Ensure that deadlines and requirements for online display campaigns are efficiently and consistently met

* Own the delivery of all data needed to support the use of the Domo platform and control/manage SQL & other needed data preparation across all digital marketing channels

* Partner with digital channel subject matter experts to create custom reports focusing on key metrics that drive the business
* Lead team to traffic ads across device types and mediums (i.e. display, video, etc.), ensure ads are accurately tagged in an ad server, campaigns are launched on time, and campaigns/tags are QA'd and monitored
* Be the subject matter expert for all online display campaign processes, requirements & technology
* Partner with Programmatic media team to support WSI in-house retargeting program, collaborating with DCO partner to troubleshoot, QA, and traffic HTML5 ads
* Partner with IT to develop & validate scalable tracking solutions utilizing DoubleClick and other 1st/3rd party pixels, ensuring campaigns are set-up to track key KPIs as determined in partnership with the Media Strategy Team
* Support the Media Strategy Team in managing projects and budgets (i.e. accruals, invoicing, etc.)
* Utilize experience to develop solutions and document internal procedures (workflow, requirements, QA process) regarding creative trafficking, ad tracking/tagging and targeting
* Seek opportunities for operational improvements
* Develop, maintain, and communicate creative & technical specs
* Ensure that campaign deal terms are met including delivery rates, start and end date, reporting requirements.
* Train and provide development guidance to 3 Media Operations Analysts
* Stay apprised of and test new ad technologies

* 6+ years of experience in marketing, including 4 years in digital ad operations roles (such as an ad trafficker at an e-commerce retailer or agency environment); 1-2 years people management, 1-2 years managing a reporting platform
* Strong data literacy -- the ability to understand, use, and communicate data effectively
* Technical aptitude and ability to converse clearly with the planning team, brand partners, and creative
* Ability to translate business requests into actionable deliverables
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Proficient using Excel pivot tables and functions
* Experience working with or managing large DataSets
* Strong project management skills and ability to quickly react to changing priorities and deadlines
* Well-organized, high attention to detail, deadline-oriented
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* A desire to work with others as part of a team

* Proficiency in validating accuracy of data; ability to help resolve any data quality or availability issues
* Ability to provide information about the data definitions, schemas, and lineage

* Ability to confirm calculations and business logic with appropriate teams for implementation in the Domo platform

Technical Competencies required:

* Expertise in DCM or other ad serving technology (ad server logic, redirects, pixels and cookies)
* Experience in troubleshooting ad serving technical issues, such as delivery investigation, third party rich media issues, understanding & debugging 3rd party pixels
* Understanding of programmatic tools and tactics, such as DSPs and DMPs.
* Expertise in working with a business intelligence/visualization tool such as Tableau, Domo, Power BI, etc.
* Working knowledge of 3rd party ad safe/viewability technologies
* Working knowledge of SQL, Windows and Linux environments, and database technologies (i.e. MySQL, Oracle, etc.)
* Strong familiarity with internal marketing data and marketing data being provided by vendors (i.e. Facebook, Google, other social platforms, web analytics systems, ad serving platforms, etc.)
* Experience working with APIs, Web Technologies (JavaScript, Html, CSS), and Scripting Technologies (Java, Python, R, etc.)
* Strong MS Excel skills and analytical ability
