About the Team

You will be part of the General Accounting team based out of our headquarters in San Francisco, California. This team is responsible for ensuring the consolidated financials of WSI, Inc. are complete and accurate, and managing the global monthly accounting close.

About the Role

We are looking for a technical Accounting Manager to perform the consolidation of multiple domestic and international legal entities, which includes reviewing transfer pricing entries, other intercompany transactions and elimination entries, as well as ensuring foreign currency transactions are accounted for properly. You will also oversee the global monthly accounting closes, manage deadline communications and perform processes to ensure the accuracy and completeness of our financials. You will prepare and review journal entries, and validate transactions interfaced into the general ledger. You will oversee the account reconciliation process and will review account reconciliations for accuracy and completeness. You will be responsible for general ledger and reporting activities, which includes maintaining our chart of accounts for both primary and secondary ledgers, hierarchies, cross validation rules and allocations, performing month-end close processes and testing our financial system. You will create and maintain financial reports in Essbase and Oracle Financial Reporting Studio, SmartView, and other BI tools. You will provide timely support to users of Oracle Financials and provide guidance on coding transactions to ensure accurate financial reporting. You will assess controls, maintain documentation and ensure compliance with policies and procedures. You will provide support and explanations to internal and external auditors. You will work closely with cross functional teams daily, including other Accounting, Tax, Finance, and Technology teams. You will also work with internal partners to improve processes and support new business initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

* You have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
* You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a corporate accounting environment; global, publicly-traded company preferred.
* You have extensive working experience in Oracle Financials ERP (General Ledger/Reports) and can confidently teach new users (implementation experience a plus).
* You have working knowledge of US GAAP, with a focus on accounting for consolidations and foreign currency, and transfer pricing/legal entity accounting.
* You produce high-quality work in a fast-paced and changing environment.

Extended hours during close week will be required.

Technical Competencies required:

* Proficient in Excel and Oracle Financials ERP (General Ledger/Reports) is required.
