About the Team

The International Technology team is responsible for the architecture, engineering, implementation, support, and operations of international systems portfolio of Williams Sonoma brands like Williams Sonoma, Pottery Barn, West Elm, Mark & Graham & Rejuvenation in multiple channels like e-commerce, stores, franchises and wholesale.

We currently operate company-owned retail stores in the United States, Puerto Rico, Canada, United Kingdom, and Australia and have franchise operated retail stores throughout the Middle East, Mexico, the Philippines, and South Korea. Wholesale partnerships in UK and Ireland support our UK based stores.

Our products are also available to customers through our catalogs and online worldwide.

About the Role

We are looking for an Engineer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include translation of designs and ideas to developed solutions.

This is a Global role, so you will have responsibility for multiple websites in multiple markets and other Customer facing systems within our CorS products (Customer facing Ordering & Retail Systems).

You will be a part of the creative technology team, working with business process champions, Product managers and architects.

* Build, test, deploy website backend and frontend elements
* Work with others to seamlessly transition designs into deployment
* Maintain a transparent workflow, addressing and communicating issues that could impact production-cycle dependencies and deadlines.
* Partner with creative and digital teams to continually deliver user experience performance optimization
* Work closely with Brands, Product Management, Creative, and Developers to provide recommendations on using out of the box features vs. developing customizations.
* Act as Liaison between marketing product managers and development teams. May have to work off-hours when issues come up.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

You are excited about this opportunity because you have...

* At least 2-3 years of professional experience in Java and front-end development
* Expert knowledge of HTML, CSS (including SCSS) and JavaScript/jQuery
* Proficient level understanding of NetSuite platform vertical knowledge and technical expertise
* Version control via Git
* Excellent understanding of cross-browser/cross-platform compatibility issues
* Adherence to web standards and best practices
* Good understanding of common design patterns and responsive frameworks
* Ability to collaborate with internal teams to create landing pages, digital assets, print assets and optimize user experience
* Experience with PHP is beneficial.
* Experience with Agile methodology
