You will be a part of the newly launched Williams Sonoma Inc Business to Business division, a key growth initiative for the WSI portfolio of brands.

About the Role

As the Director of Sales for WSI Business to Business, you will be responsible for leading the dynamic Account Executive team in establishing territory specific go to market strategies and driving meaningful sales growth across the business. You will be an advocate for client needs and the Account Executives -- partnering closely with our range of internal support experts. You will also partner with the Vice President of Business to Business on our overarching go to market strategy development and brand positioning. This includes market research and developing a needs list for the business for us to maintain our competitive edge in the industry. The ideal candidate has a passion for the design industry and a proven track record in driving meaningful sales gross across a team and large territory in the B2B space. This position will be an advocate, coach, and connector for WSI Business to Business whose primary objective will be to strategically grow our B2B large project pipeline. This position reports directly to the Vice President, Business to Business.

* Be the outward facing flagship representation of the WSI Business to Business division -- representing WSI at all major national and regional Trade Shows and industry related networking events for your assigned market (East/West).
* Responsible for the primary leadership of a regionally focused (East/West) Account Executive team of an estimated 3 -- 5 people, to include: Brand, product, and industry sales ecosystem training, as well as supporting, co-selling, and networking for large and strategic opportunities.
* Work with the Vice President of Business to Business and the Director of Marketing on high level marketing strategy and brand positioning -- including working sessions and strategy development with Brand creative and product design teams to give strategic input and collaboration in identifying areas of opportunity.
* Partner with the care center support teams and corporate office partners to ensure best in class service is being provided. Advocate as needed for additional business support with a proactive, solution oriented, "one team" approach.
* Collaborate with the retail leadership team in building our store focused go to market strategies and continued relationship development between the Account Executives and retail trade teams.
* Work closely with Program Managers (Trade, Contract, Brand Standards) to develop the strategy needed to win key opportunities and drive needed business growth. Support as needed in large RFQ processes.
* Participate with the Contract Program Manager and support teams in a monthly pipeline review process with the Account Executives to support and guide the sales process and ensure each territory is on track to meet their sales goals.
* Proactively weigh in on operational initiatives - be a cross functional advocate for the B2B business, building the strong partnerships required to meet industry standards and make WSI a leader in the market.

We're excited about you because you have...

* A minimum of 6 years of directly relevant sales experience, Contract Furniture/Hospitality industry preferred
* A proven track record of driving meaningful sales growth
* Prior experience in sales team leadership and training and development
* An established book of business within the Business to Business industry with a range of relevant industry connections
* A passion for furniture and interior design
* Advanced product knowledge in at least two of the following categories: indoor furniture (Contract or residential), outdoor furniture, lighting, textiles, smallwares/kitchen, bath/plumbing, decorative accessories, or flooring
* The ability to build relationships -- both with cross functional internal partners and external
* The ability to effectively manage concurrent and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent proactive, solution oriented, problem-solving skills
* The ability to travel up to 40% of time during peak seasons
* Prior experience in business to business sales and / or retail preferred
* Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a variety of internal and external customers/clients/business partners and build strong relationships
* Salesforce experience (strongly preferred)
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, to include Power Point, Outlook, and Excel
