About the Team

The Pottery Barn Brands International Production Team creates catalogs and other marketing pieces for our brands outside of the US market. The team's job is to ensure that our catalogs and collateral pieces are both beautiful and error-proof, and that the images are representative of products we are selling.

About the Role

As a catalog production assistant, you will be responsible for creating layout files for image- and copy-intensive catalog spreads. You'll partner with our US creative teams, franchise partners, vendors, writers and designers to build pages and finalize print files. You must be extremely detail-oriented and have the ability to juggle multiple tasks.

This is a casual position: Please note that the workload for international projects fluctuates throughout the year so there will be busy times, slow times and down time.


1) Build catalog spreads in InDesign using complicated paragraph/character styles and grids.

2) Handle all proofing changes, including both copy corrections and layout changes.

3) Distribute proofs.

4) Prepare files for type and color release.

5) Handle other tasks as needed.


* Ability to adjust to the flexible hours you will work with us based on our production cycle and business needs.
* BA in English or Fine Arts, with some related experience preferred.
* Advanced skills in InDesign, Photoshop and OSX operating system required.
* Ability to adapt to new production software and systems.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong organizational skills and highly detail-oriented.
* Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks.
