JOB DESCRIPTION

About the Role:

Our eCommerce team is seeking a Lead Quality Engineer to drive our test automation initiatives. In this role you will help design, code and maintain our test automation infrastructure with a goal of eliminating nearly all manual testing by the end of the year. A key element of this role is training the broader engineering team -- 100+ software engineers across the globe -- on our tools, frameworks and approaches.

This position can sit in Rocklin, CA or San Francisco, CA

* Own and help expand our in-house tools:

* The Gizmotron simulation engine that provides the ability to simulate external systems and dependencies
* Our Hinoki data library that provides a curated set of data for both testing and result checking
* Our Evergreen UI testing framework that is built atop the Selenium Web Drive library which is the industry leading user experience testing tool
* We will also be leveraging tools such as Cobertura for test coverage analysis and Sonar/Checkstyle for static coding analysis.
* Responsible for identifying opportunities to increase testing effectiveness through automation of component, integration or complex system tests
* Helps to select and evaluate automated testing tools and methodologies
* Designs and builds tools to assist in curating complex data sets necessary for repeatable tests of integrated systems
* Validates test results for complex systems and interactions
* Adapts test suites to exercise code against new defects found

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

We're excited about you because you have the following qualifications...

* A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
* 8 years of experience as a Quality engineer.
* Ability to deal with ambiguity and a fast-paced changing environment
