Position Summary:

Williams-Sonoma, Inc. is seeking a highly-driven, skilled Architect to partner with a team of 2 developers located in Portland and a flexible vendor team onshore and offshore locations. The successful candidate will work effectively with cross-functional teams across technology and business units and provide experienced technical leadership and direction to the team to propose, develop and deploy innovative and cost-effective solutions in support of the global business expansion and improved operational efficiency. Primary business partners include two Williams-Sonoma subsidiary business units one is a manufacturing operations at Sutter Street, located in Claremont, NC and another is an end to end operations (stores/e-comm order to cash) at Rejuvenation, located in Portland, OR.

This position requires deep Microsoft DAX Manufacturing (Scheduling, Inventory, MRP, QC, Outbound logistics and delivery), Dynamics Stores and financials experience. A successful candidate would be expected to have strong in Solution Architecture, Operations Management, and technical delivery skills. Experience with upgrading from version 9 to DAX365 would be preferable.

If hired, you will be a single point of contact for all Microsoft DAX functionalities for both these business units.

Essential Functions:

* Upgrading MSDAX for Sutter Street from V9 to D365 and planning for a future upgrade for Rejuvenation Portland instance.
* Responsibility for Solution and Technical Architecture.
* Identify technical solutions, related cost and resource requirements
* Provide technical leadership and direction to a team of internal and contract developers in an Enterprise Production Support environment
* Set, report, and attain service level, business, and productivity metrics
* Participate in financial management and reporting activities including budget development, quarterly forecasting, and monthly variance reporting
* Provide project and resource development plans and management
* Participate in project proposals
* Participate and provide leadership in package software selection and vendor negotiations
* Manage projects and support activities to aggressive time and dollar constraints
* Work closely and effectively with internal business partners, external consultants, and other technology managers and staff to ensure productive and adaptable working relationships
* Facilitate management initiatives, process improvements, career and staff development, and strategic planning within technology to support aggressive business growth

* 10 years of experience in progressively responsible experience in Information Technology
* 5 years' experience in complex Solution architecture in the Microsoft DAX environment, project management, and people supervision/ management
* Bachelor's engineering degree or equivalent experience
* Very strong Technical Microsoft DAX skills
* Strong knowledge of and experience with all phases of systems development life cycle for large systems, including strategy development
* Strong team building, staff development, change management, and leadership skills
* Demonstrated success in working effectively with defined business partners, vendors, and consultant resources to support large production support environments
* Strong interpersonal and communications skills
