POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Financial Analyst will take an active role in the transportation financial and operational reporting process. Among their responsibilities; the Senior Financial Analyst will perform month end close duties, monthly reporting, ad hoc analysis, budgeting and forecasting.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

* Develop a thorough understanding of the freight audit process and work directly with internal and external partners to assure timely auditing, coding, and payment of transportation invoices
* Assist and prepare annual budget and monthly forecast
* Prepare freight related journal entries on a monthly basis
* Work with international operations teams to track and report international freight expenses and facilitate charge backs to franchisees
* Provide ad hoc analysis for transportation and corporate finance teams
* Propose improvements to month end procedures, day-to-day job responsibilities and other functions within Transportation Finance team
* Special projects as assigned
* Cross train with other members of Transportation Finance team

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

* A Bachelors degree in accounting or a Bachelors degree in business with emphasis in accounting and/or finance
* Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Access, Excel, Word, Power Point) including:

* 2-3 years of experience working with MS Excel; including pivot tables and advanced functions
* Advanced knowledge of MS Access with experience performing ad hoc analysis, creating complex queries and other advanced functions
* Prior experience budgeting and forecasting
* Strong problem solving skills, including the ability to effectively address issues in collaboration with others as appropriate
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
* Ability to analyze data and produce reports to assist operations
* Ability to work well under pressure and effectively handle multiple, concurrent demands and appropriately prioritize responsibilities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Experience blending, prepping and analyzing large data sets using Alteryx
* Experience reporting, mapping and creating data visualizations using Tableau
* Working knowledge of SQL
* Familiarity with PKMS warehouse management system
* Ability to work overtime and weekend as needed
