About the Team

The Business Sales Department is a highly dynamic, collaborative, and entrepreneurial group within Williams-Sonoma, Inc., focused on development and execution of volume businesses and all business-to-business sales and marketing activities. The group is responsible for Williams-Sonoma Inc. Gift Card Category, Designer Trade and Pro Chefs loyalty programs, Hospitality and Contract business, business gifts sales - as well as uncovering new high growth business avenues for the company. The Gift Card Program Manager will leverage the cross functional web, IT and marketing, ops and support teams to manage and grow the Gift Card category across retail, online and B2B channels.

About the Role

In the Gift Card Manager role, you will be responsible for managing and driving the Gift Card category for Williams-Sonoma's family of brands- across B2C and B2B channels and domestic and global markets. Under your leadership you will have the opportunity to devise and execute end-to-end category strategy, from conception to implementation - and work closely across highly skilled IT, Operations, Marketing, and web teams to deliver growth and creative product enhancements and solutions.

* Oversee the entire Gift and Merch Card product category operations, design and processing platform.
* Partner with a cross functional group of internal and external stakeholders to design and execute your strategy.
* Drive category growth via new market expansion, new partnerships and improvements and innovations around Gift and eGift cards.
* Champion and manage implementation of new programs and product enhancements across IT and other stakeholders.
* Conduct and present internal reporting, analysis and insights around activations, redemptions and category performance across brands and channels.
* Provide insightful data to guide decision making and offer proactive solutions.
* Drive implications and recommendations based on observed trends and data.
* Manage third party data processor, eGift Card provider and 3rd party production and fulfillment.
* Develop integrated solutions through collaboration and proactive communication.
* Conduct competitive and category research and educate internal stakeholders in relevant trends affecting gift card sales and redemption.
* Manage marketing and development roadmap to ensure that Williams-Sonoma, Inc. is a category leader.
* Advocate best-of-breed gift card designs, marketing messaging and product placement.
* Plan and manage category P&L, budget and forecasts.
* Support fulfillment, inventory and procurement for gift cards.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

* You have a Bachelor's degree in Business, economics or operations and/or an MBA
* You have knowledge of theory and principles of project management
* You have 5 years of experience, preferably with a leading company from one or more of the following industries: Retail, Consumer Goods, Payments, Finance, Energy, and/or Technology; experience in gift cards, category or brand management a plus
* You have strong project management skills: Ability to work across multiple internal and external partners. Experience with IT management and Jira a plus
* You have outstanding quantitative and analytic skills: comfort working with, and ability to derive meaningful trends from large data sets; experience with data warehouse reporting a plus
* You have strategic acumen: ability to work independently to synthesize strategic implications and recommendations from observed data and stated objectives
* You have outstanding written and oral communication skills: Experience crafting presentations suitable for senior management; demonstrated ability to sell through ideas and recommendations across a matrixed organization is a plus
* You have superior computer skills including business applications such as MS Windows and MS Office including Excel, Word and Access

Technical Competencies required:

* Fluency with Microsoft Excel and Power Point is a must
* Experience with IT management, Jira, Salesforce and/or MicroStrategy is a plus
