The position serves as an onsite associate relations leader working with Human Resources, operations leaders, and frontline associates to resolve workplace concerns and promote positive associate relations to ensure a high level of associate satisfaction and engagement.

Provides guidance and consultation on matters pertaining to performance management, corrective action, policy interpretation and compliance with local, state and federal employment laws. Conducts workplace investigations and facilitates process and policy improvements that support the organization and the associate experience. Administers or assists with systems, tools and programs designed to enhance and drive associate engagement. The selected candidate will be passionate about workplace engagement and fostering a work environment consistent with WSI's People First philosophy.

Looking for an enthusiastic person with a genuine desire to help enhance associate engagement with our company. This position reports directly to the Director of Human Resources and plays a key role in driving the day-to-day WSI associate experience. Our goal is to hire someone who can engage with our workforce to help build on our momentum of creating an employer of choice and positive culture for our associates.


* Executes on positive associate relations programs and activities to drive engagement and support the company's union-free philosophy, including conducting frontline associate focus groups on a regular cadence to address engagement opportunities.
* Provide support on investigations into workplace issues, performance issues, and associate misconduct driving consistency and efficiency across the organization
* Coordinates and sets the tone for culture-building activities such as weekly, monthly and annual internal events.
* Coordinates in-office onboarding welcome experience for new team members.
* Develop creative programs that drive associate engagement
* Provide a high-level of customer service by responding to daily inquiries relating to company policies, programs and procedures.
* Identify specific facility and operational support needed in the warehouse
* Analyzes data and identifies key insights to make improvements.
* Maintain a commitment and ability to convey WSI's mission with genuine passion and the willingness to continually learn about the company and mission.
* Perform ad hoc duties as required by the HR department team in line with the goals of the position.
* Assist in the administration of associate recognition programs.



* 5+ years HR Generalist experience with a focus in associate relations or labor relations preferred.
* Talent Acquisition experience preferred.
* Knowledge of labor relations and experience with union organizing activity preferred.
* Superior written, verbal and social communications skills.
* Dedicated team player with exceptional attention to detail.
* Excellent interpersonal, client consultation and problem-solving skills.
* Demonstrated ability to effectively interface with and quickly develop rapport and credibility with a wide range of business partners and front-line associates.
* Must have a passion for associate engagement and cultivating a culture where associates can thrive.
* Ability to conduct research and analyze data to shape recommendations and drive decisions.
* Multi-site travel up to 30% of time
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Behavior or related field.
* Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
