The visual operations manager will be responsible for developing, producing all directives & communications to the field organization and corporate partners. The role supports the execution of visual strategies across the brand by creating visual tools that allow stores to plan and execute flawlessly to drive sales.


Essential Functions:

o Direct the development of all seasonal visual floor set directives, tools, training and product launches

o Direct the development of all seasonal window and marketing directives, tools, training and launches

o Direct the weekly visual/marketing updates & communications to stores in support of price/promo events

o Develop/manage visual merchandising standards and training topics -- quarterly updates, tools and training

o Validate all final floor-set/window directives, delivery updates and tier information while ensuring information passed to visual and brand teams; review final in store execution and communication changes accordingly

o Ensure consistency and quality of all information included in-store documents (applies to general visual standards as well as seasonal, monthly or business required changes, including floor-set, weekly communications and windows); create all in-store documents by store design, tier and cluster

* Manage execution to deadlines as outlined on project, floor-set and cross functional calendars
* Manage/Assist Store Operations with seasonal strategies, communications, payroll requirements and quarterly workload in support of visual execution
* Identify and develop training opportunities to build visual merchandising skills and train and develop brand managers per channel, travel to market to execute workshops
* Work directly with field leadership, brand DM's & teams to identify opportunities, gain feedback, and explore continued presentation development to achieve optimal execution and selling success
* Assist with the development of the corporate visual merchandising presentation for all categories, starting with the conceptual through the execution phases (and post floor set execution, in season updates and on-going sell through options)
* Work Closely with marketing operations/production department on managing store attribute/fixture database in addition managing our field survey tool and how this supports visual flexing direction to stores.
* Manage the VM calendar to ensure all VM guidelines get published on time
* Lead all cross functional projects and act as the project manager for the VM team
* Partner with local VM leaders to understand needs and implement any on-going feedback
* Maintain Visual supplies library; communicate with purchasing department on updates, inventory needs and allocations.
* Work with local, IT, and retail operations teams to keep pushing for a more efficient VM communications platform
* Manage and support the development of the VM communications and operations team


* Strong management skills along with cross functional collaboration is key to managing multi- channel details
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Strong proficiency of In-design and Photoshop, photography
* Knowledge in visual merchandising techniques, standards and practices -- how this translates this to the field teams
* Strong understanding of merchandising and its direct impact on sales
* Ability to provide significant feedback, ideas and hindsight on current and future floor-sets, windows, marketing tools and seasonal strategies thru field partnership and assessment process and seasonal hindsight recaps
* Proven creativity with a strong aesthetic sensibility and excellent visual merchandising skills
* Strong understanding of product positioning strategies, promotions, inventory across multi- channel store designs
* Competition and industry aware with a strong knowledge of the market
* Ability to act as a resource, trainer and communicator of information to manage and elevate visual consistency.
* Ability to lift 75 pounds.
* Computer programs -- excel, indesign, illustrator.
