West elm has an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated Digital Production Designer to contribute to our in-house digital Creative team, reporting directly to the Digital Art Director. This role is responsible for creating high-level design concepts for the daily marketing, seasonal branding, and user experience of West Elm's digital channels. You will work on the production of email and homepage marketing, site updates, email trigger series, banners and Facebook ads. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners to find solutions that solve both creative and business needs.

Essential Responsibilities

* Work within brand guidelines to create digital layouts and site experiences that reinforce West Elm's voice through its visual touchpoints
* Design + production of a wide variety of digital assets including emails, banners, facebook ads, site assets, paid social, and targeted display
* Work closely with project managers, ecom merchants, marketing, and copy teams to obtain all relevant information, technical requirements and timelines for each project
* Structure Photoshop + Sketch comps to optimize efficient workflow and production
* Review final work with an exacting eye to ensure delivered files are to spec
* Independently identify issues and resolutions
* Complete projects both independently or in partnership with other designers
* Expertise in understanding and executing in West Elm's brand aesthetic
* Experience delivering on business and creative goals through design

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications

* 2-4 years' experience designing and production for web and digital media

* Strong retail/fashion or agency experience desired; ecommerce experience required

* A solid foundation in typography, layout and design

* Strong problem-solving skills

* Excellent visual, written and verbal communication skills

* A penchant for details and organization, including the ability to prioritize tasks, communicate progress and meet deadlines

* The ability to effectively take direction and work both collaboratively and autonomously

* Ability to meet all deadlines under pressure and can react to unexpected schedule changes and fluctuations in workload

* Experience with juggling multiple projects while effectively managing timelines and expectations

* Experience creating gifs and animations for web

* Fluent in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Sketch
