Position Summary

Manages the workflow of assigned production departments, maximizing process and cost efficiencies, productivity levels, as well as safety and quality standards. Provides leadership and direction for associate development and process improvement. Identifies problems and implements solutions to drive change in support of achieving expected results and companywide objectives.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Specific Responsibilities:

* Coordinates material and product flow through assigned production area, achieving and reporting on productivity goals in the areas of safety, quality, delivery and cost.

* Identifies, recommends, and implements modifications in production processes to maximize quality, eliminate waste, improve product flow, and optimize overall efficiencies.
* Monitors product quality to ensure the company standards are maintained.
* Identifies problems and implements solutions to overcome/minimize production problems.
* Monitors work environment to ensure safety standards are maintained, holding associates accountable for following all safety practices.
* Coordinates maintenance activities to ensure that daily and routine maintenance is being performed, partnering with facilities to ensure overall upkeep and maintenance of equipment.
* Has direct supervisory responsibility for associates within assigned production departments including: hiring, performance management, coaching, training, timekeeping, etc.
* Provides effective leadership to immediate and extended team, creating a professional, respectful, and engaging work environment.
* Develop and maintain documentation of standard work practices for assigned departments.
* Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications:

* Minimum of 5 years of experience in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
* Minimum of 3 years manufacturing supervisor experience
* Understanding of production processes, scheduling and workflow, as well as warehouse operations.
* Demonstrated skills in leadership, continuous learning, flexibility, customer focus, commitment to quality, continuous improvement, critical thinking, complex problem solving, trouble shooting, prioritization, and time management required.
* Excellent team, supervisory and management skills required.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skill. Ability to effectively communicate in highly diverse multi-cultural environment.
* First aid, CPR, and AED certified with knowledge of SDS, Spills, and Lead-Safety training certifications a plus.
* Proficient use of MS Office products, Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems including BOM, routing, inventory, transactions, reporting, etc. Prior experience with Microsoft Dynamix AX a plus.
* Minimum of three years' experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is required to stand, walk, talk and hear. The associate must be able to frequently move, lift or carry heavy objects or materials up to 50 pounds. Specific visual abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and color vision.

Work Conditions:

Work is performed in a manufacturing setting. There may be exposure to flying particles and airborne particles, chemicals, fumes, flammable materials, dirt, grease, and electrical equipment (Personal Protective Equipment provided). May work near moving mechanical parts and may be exposed to humid, hot, or cold conditions.
