* Collaborate with Design and Product Management in the early stages of product development; provide feedback on manufacturability, estimated cost, UL requirements and form, fit and function
* Develop appropriate drawings, routings, procedures, and manufacturing instructions to support product development and production activities
* Identify potential suppliers and completes First Article inspection reports
* Create and maintain bills of material in ERP system
* Coordinate prototyping and provide necessary documentation and instruction to support Production activities
* Work on multiple new product projects under deadline; often working independently to move projects forward
* Provide input to product development schedules and budgets, working to meet market and profitability goals
* Work with multiple teams to improve product design for manufacturability, ease of assembly, and reduction of product cost
* Collaborate with Inspection to improve product quality and inspection criteria, root cause defect analysis and facilitate the constant improvement process
* Provide excellent support and service to our internal customers



* BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Electrical Engineering
* Minimum of 2 to 6 years of experience in new product development
* Experience with Solid State Lighting/LED Technology (preferred)

* Experience with spinning, stamping, forging, casting manufacturing processes (preferred)
* Experience with World Class Manufacturing/Lean/Toyota Production System principles, TPM, 6S (preferred)
* Experience with Microsoft Dynamics
* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with others at all levels of the organization

Technical Competencies required:

* Experience in using CAD/CAM software for product development

* Proficient use of MS Office Products, Autodesk 2-D and 3-D CAD software
