About the Team

The Rejuvenation design team consists of highly creative, collaborative and technical thinkers. As part of the team you will bring your ideas to the discussion. Our role is to create both practical and innovative products with a story to tell.

Position Summary

As the Manager, Head Designer, your efforts will be to lead the product development of all Lighting and Hardware design. Each season you will work closely with the Creative Director to translate concepts into cohesive product designs. You will develop themes that reflect the mood, market and customer/business trends. You will help steer a team of designers, as well as work closely with a wide range of cross functional teams in order to see designs through to fruition.

* Lead and manage daily functions of the Lighting and Hardware design team
* Manage and develop 2+ designers
* Oversee design and development of all items in the Lighting and Hardware product categories, from initial concept through approval
* Act as lead designer for all hardware developments, consisting of kitchen, bath and plumbing
* Research and translate design/market trends into design ideation that respond of the needs to the business
* Leads designers to create designs that support the seasonal aesthetic/concept
* Identify new ideas to develop
* Present direction to company leaders as well as cross functional teams
* Work directly with global offices/vendors and domestic partners to produce designs
* Participate in product development meetings
* Travel as needed to factories and shows domestically and internationally
* Recommend effective processes and procedures to improve workflow and results between cross functional team members

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

We're excited about you because you...

* Have a minimum of 6 years product design experience
* Have a minimum of 2 years prior experience in managing/supervising a team with the ability to develop talent.
* Have outstanding design and product development skills.
* Are highly proficient in the production of technical drawings.
* Have high level experience using 3D CAD (Autodesk Inventor, Rhino, Solidworks, etc.) and Adobe Creative Suites.
* Are highly collaborative and passionate about design.
* Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse personalities and across all functions and levels of the organization.
* Highly motivated, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
* Demonstrate strong problem solving skills and the willingness to dive in and get things done resourcefully.
* Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple projects at a time.
