Position Summary

The position is responsible for developing, documenting, analyzing and maintaining forecasts/budgets, financial statements, and product/project costing analysis. Performs research and analysis to provide management with financial data and recommendations for use in setting and realizing business objectives. Evaluates financial alternatives to aid management in decision making. The position will work with and cross train key responsibilities with other accounting positions.

Specific Responsibilities

* Act as lead financial analyst for rapidly growing multi-channel home retailer based in Portland, Oregon
* Drive reporting and financial analysis projects for the company
* Coordinate monthly financial statement reporting and analysis
* Participate in month end close process, including leading the month end close analysis
* Lead monthly reforecast of financials including daily sales forecast
* Lead cross-department budgeting process
* Complete special finance projects as required
* Work with brand leadership across multiple functions to drive financial acumen and discipline
* Perform any other duties as assigned by management




* Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
* Advanced level user of Excel and other MS Office Products and ERP systems - Microsoft Dynamics AX (DAX) a plus
* Familiar with SQL or other reporting tools
* Minimum 4 years of college in finance or business education or equivalent experience.
* Minimum of 2-3 years of financial analysis experience or MFSA Required. Experience in retail and manufacturing environments preferred.
* Experience working with confidential information
* Moderate to high levels of English reading comprehension, writing, speaking, and active listening.
* High levels of critical thinking, instruction, complex problem solving, troubleshooting, system analysis, reasoning, attention to detail, and documentation.
* Moderate to high levels of mathematics, learning strategies, monitoring, coordination, persuasion, negotiation, service orientation, quality control analysis, judgment and decision-making, originality, flexibility, confidentiality, and research.
