About the Team

The Pottery Barn Brands Inventory Strategy team designs, creates, and implements inventory optimization capabilities that enable Pottery Barn/ PB Teen/ PB Kids to manage business throughout the product lifecycle. Projects are designed to create sustainable competitive advantages that generate significant financial return and enhance the consumer experience. Additionally, the team works closely with internal business partners - merchandising, inventory management, marketing, finance, and the stores - to identify and implement strategies to optimize sales, inventory, and margin. We are looking for someone who is a true owner of their business and will contribute creative new ideas. We seek a candidate who has a deep understanding and knowledge base of Inventory Management practices while also having a love of training.

About the Role

Pottery Barn Brands is currently seeking a Inventory Management Training and Implementation lead to join our Inventory Strategy team. Working on a collaborative, fast paced and energetic team, the Training and Implementation Lead will develop and facilitate high quality training programs that build inventory management planners knowledge and skills through various training formats. The Training and Implementation Lead will create an exceptional learning experience for all students by using excellent facilitation skills, well written documentation, quick reference job aids, tools, and learning activities that promote classroom practice and interaction. Using a continuous improvement approach, they will assist the inventory management with the ongoing evaluation of learning outcomes to ensure all classes are meeting desired objectives. As part of the Inventory Strategy team, the Lead will aid in the requirements gathering and understanding of planning team business needs to aid in the development of tools.

* Develop training documentation, job aids, and tools for a variety of curriculums working in collaboration with the WSI training team, PB Inventory Strategy, and PB Brands Inventory Management teams
* Facilitate Retail Learning & Development classes from various curriculums including OTB, Buy- Planning, Forecasting.
* Assess, recommend and develop new training content based on skill strengths, skill gaps, business initiatives, and current business trends
* Oversee, develop, and manage certification programs for all planners
* Interact with business partners on products, services, procedures and systems to ensure desired practices and skills are built into the training materials
* Assist in gathering requirements and implementing new tools, systems, and reports within Pottery Barn brands.
* Lead process mapping to understand how new tools interact with the organization and impact the workload of the inventory management team
* Organize and participate in tool proof of concepts and user testing as well as project planning for the Inventory Strategy team
* Develop expertise in all Inventory Management tools and reports and use that expertise to guide implementation and training

* 5-7 years' experience in a Inventory Management role within a vertical retailer. Experience running an OTB, Forecasting, Buy Planning and Allocation.
* Strong Excel and Powerpoint skills.
* Dynamic and engaging presentation skills

* Demonstrated ability to define new process as well as enhance existing ones. We're looking for someone who jumps in, learns quickly, and improves the team's performance.

* Good verbal and written communication skills for delivering technical presentations that influence business partners and upper management.
