JOB DESCRIPTION

Williams-Sonoma, Inc. is looking for an Email Designer for its Pottery Barn brand's Digital Creative Team! The Digital Creative team is a dynamic group of designers who design assets that set industry and retail trends in the digital space. We work closely with the editorial and marketing teams to deliver email campaigns and all digital designs come alive with the Pottery Barn Brand voice. We work closely with partners across all functions, such as eCommerce, Marketing, Photography, PR, Merchandising and PR. We value a collaborative and collective working environment where every voice and talent are heard and valued.

The Email Designer willl be responsible for delivering innovative and forward-thinking designs, that are well composted, on brand and meet the marketing business objectives, for one of William-Sonoma's most effective ways to tell our brand story and promote our product to our customers.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will...

* Design and layout email in partnership with editorial and marketing that tell compelling stories and meet business objectives
* Provide subject matter expertise and implement best practices for email design
* Develop email design templates, styles and components
* Design email and build animations that tell a story
* Color correct or alter photos as needed by campaign
* Share designs, photography and other assets with the entire design team (including the site team, digital marketing and international designers)
* Route all campaigns for approval to appropriate business partners
* Research and implement best practices for email marketing campaigns

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

We're excited about you because...

* Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, concentration in Graphic Design required
* 3-5 years of related work experience
* Retail /storytelling experience a plus
* Strong organization skills and highly detail oriented
* Strong design background and eye for composition
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to communicate with team members of all levels
* Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced team environment
* You are excited to break new ground and develop a new design process
* You love technology and how it makes designing more efficient

Technical Competencies

* Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
* Experience with / working knowledge of Sketch
* Experience with InVision or a like prototyping tool
* Basic understanding of HTML, ability to hand-code a plus
