About The Role

We are seeking a dynamic leader who is motivated, strategic, results-oriented, and customer obsessed.

As Marketing Manager -- Pottery Barn, you'll develop email and mobile marketing strategies to drive profitable sales to the Pottery Barn brand. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams including creative, ecommerce, merchandising, inventory, promotions, CRM, email technology deployment, and customer analytics/data science to turn those strategies in customer-centric, brand-building campaigns.

A successful candidate should be analytical, innovative, highly detail oriented, and possess an eye for design, as well as have a demonstrated history of building collaborative working relationships and thriving in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Develop marketing strategies and campaigns for the email and mobile channels, in partnership with subject matter experts, to drive profitable brand sales across channels
* Own the email calendar and manage all email programing in alignment with the seasonal big ideas and marketing themes
* Ensure consistency of customer experience and marketing strategy between email/mobile and other marketing channels (site, catalog, store, digital)
* Champion the brand vision, mission, promise, image and perception across all email and mobile communications
* Drive the creative development process, including writing effective creative briefs, approving the visual execution of all email/mobile marketing assets & campaigns, and ensuring content is on-brand, seasonally relevant, and compelling to the customer
* Partner with promotions strategy to determine the email and/or mobile communication of all marketed brand promotions
* Analyze email/mobile performance metrics and customer data to understand performance against strategies and derive actionable insights, applying those learnings to future campaigns
* Partner with CRM to optimize communication throughout the customer purchase journey and lifecycle, customizing messaging/content/promotions/etc. to drive sales and increase customer lifetime value
* Champion the email testing roadmap, working in partnership with CRM and email technology deployment to drive continual innovation and optimization within the email and mobile channels
* Manage and develop 1 direct report

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelor's degree required
* 5+ years experience in marketing with email/mobile marketing experience strongly preferred
* Retail/ecommerce experience preferred
* Analytical and strategic problem solver with insatiable drive for improvement
* Experience writing creative briefs and working with a creative team in a fast paced environment
* Ability to work independently, prioritize, and balance multiple projects against deadlines
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Ability to lead and work collaboratively with a broad cross-functional team
* Flexible with changing course midstream and comfortable working with ambiguity
* Proficient in Microsoft excel
