About the Team

You will work closely with a very passionate and collaborative group of team members. We run a high-volume business and cover several different categories within Pottery Barn. We strive for operational excellence while developing best in class merchandising strategies each season. We work hard but we also have fun together.

About the Role

As a Database Analyst, you will manage all upholstered products within the Furniture Division (Bedroom, Dining, Occasional & Home Office) through the database. You will create all new SKUs within Furniture Upholstery through the merchandise database. You will also provide support to the Merchandising team and cross-functional partners (Inventory, Sourcing, Ecommerce). You will report to the Senior Buyer of Bedroom Department.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will...

* Compile and input data in the upholstery database to maintain seasonal product information
* Work with the Merchandising team to understand assortment, new collections and new fabrics for SKU creation and maintenance in the database
* Work with Manager, Sourcing and Merch Operations to ensure timely delivery of costing and product information for SKU creation
* Partner with Ecommerce to execute seasonal launches and newness online
* Maintain SKUs within the database to reflect cost changes, vendor changes, etc.
* Interface with managers, project management and e-technology team for timely database uploads, site deployments, and reporting of issues
* Investigate and respond to issues related to SKU set-up, accuracy, and pricing
* Compile selling data for regular analysis by Merchandising team
* Attend weekly cross-functional meetings and product development meetings to understand assortment and adjustments needed in the Upholstery categories
* Coordinate the archiving of Upholstery seasonal features, functionality, and products

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

We're excited about you because you have...

* Previous eCommerce, retail or catalog experience 1-2 years
* An interest and knowledge of data organization, data flow processes, building reports, and data analysis
* Experience with Access database/SQL Server preferred
* Strong computer skills, including advanced Excel skills, and word processing applications
* Well organized and detail oriented
* Able to make timely decisions anticipate problems and provide creative solutions
* Retail experience and basic business knowledge are preferred
* Able to work in a fast paced environment
