Position Summary

The Pottery Barn Outlet Team is looking for individuals who can collaborate and thrive in a dynamic environment, demonstrate and foster innovative thinking, and apply data and intuition to develop new approaches and solve problems. As an Associate Buyer, you are responsible for delivering assortment, pricing & marketing strategies that drive success against sales, profit and turn goals. Creativity and agility will be key as you identify trends and synthesize information from multiple touch points in order to maximize the Outlet channel as the liquidation vehicle for brand overstocks and returns, while achieving channel profitability targets. This role collaborates with Outlet and Brand's Inventory Management, Merchandising, Sourcing, Visual, and Store Operations Teams to ensure processes and timelines are met.

Specific Responsibilities

* Demonstrates up-to-date expertise in Merchandising and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans
* Manages purchasing & pricing for multiple categories to maximize sales and profit
* Shop brand overstocks & liabilities that help round out assortment and minimize DC capacity.
* Execute SKU creation and SKU updates for assigned departments.
* Create & execute promotional and visual merchandising strategies to drive sell through while maximizing profitability and in store visual experience
* Partner with creative to develop compelling email marketing that effectively drives traffic to our stores.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

* BA/BS Required.
* Previous experience in Merchandising.
* Advanced Excel skills. Advanced retail math skills.
* Attention to detail. Ability to work in fast-paced, often-changing environment.

* Minimum Requirements

* 2+ years of proven experience in merchandise, forecasting and product selection
* Advanced excel skills
* Have managed and maintained open-to-buy
* Ability to work in an extremely fast-paced, often-changing environment
