JOB DESCRIPTION

Essential Functions:

* Collaborate with Head of Design and Merchandising Team to develop seasonal and pre-development products which involves knowledge of sewing, construction, patterns and knowledge of manufacturing process and capabilities
* Sketch illustrations in Adobe Illustrator and complete specifications in PLM System
* Responsible for tracking samples and communicating status of pending samples with overseas offices
* Review samples for all aspects of construction and measurements against spec and making construction approval
* Responsible for input and maintaining information in the PLM System
* Assist with design and color approval communication in PLM when needed
* Attend weekly product meetings and contribute where appropriate.
* Recommend solutions to product construction issues.
* Collaborate on action plans to resolve with cross functional partners.
* Strictly follow the Seasonal Calendar to ensure that specifications and product approvals meet the calendar deadline.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications:

* BA, Design Degree or Equivalent experience.
* Knowledge of PLM System a plus.
* Knowledge of Abobe Illustrator and some Photoshop a must.
* Microsoft Excel and Word.
* 3-5 years experience in Textiles Development a must.
