About the Team

You will be an important part of the PBteen Textile Product Development team. We're a dynamic team that works collaboratively to create well designed, good value and great quality textile products for teen and dorm customers. Working on a seasonal basis with multiple concepts for our own brand, our collaboration partners and our licensors, our job is to develop and deliver on time and trend relevant product.

About the Role

As a Textile and Home Product Designer, you will be reporting to our Senior Designer and responsible for all bedding, bath, sleepover and giftable products. You will be relied on to create and present seasonal product concept boards.

* You have excellent visual, verbal and written communications skills, and have experience communicating with vendors about product development
* You're highly organized and able to manage and prioritize multiple projects at once

Technical Competencies required:

* You have a Bachelor's degree in Textile Design or Surface Pattern Design (an equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience may be considered)
* 4-5 years' experience in textile design and textile product development
* You understand how to design yarn dyes (stripes and plaids in various weaving structures)
* Knowledge of fabrications, fiber content, and washes are a plus
* You are talented at drawing and painting original artwork, skilled at putting designs into repeat and creating beautiful colorways
* You have excellent computer skills including a thorough knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
* Participation is setting up presentations is required
* Knowledge of PLM is a plus but not essential
