About the Team

You will be an important part the PBTeen Textile Product Development team. We're a dynamic team that works collaboratively to create well designed, great quality textile products for teen and dorm customers. Working on a seasonal basis with multiple concepts for our own brand, our collaboration partners and our licensors, our job is to develop and deliver on time and trend relevant product.

About the Role

As Textile Coordinator, you will be reporting to our Head Design Manager and responsible for all samples. You will share responsibilities for color and sample approvals for multiple products. You will share the responsibilities for Licensed Products with the PLM Coordinator.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will...

* Responsible for all Samples, including Rugs; this includes Receiving, Reviewing and Archiving all samples throughout life cycle; keep sample closet organized at all times; facilitate sample requests for concept meetings; pass all samples for Final Line Review meetings, and organize samples when meetings have ended.
* In charge of organizing seasonal submit files and art files on a weekly basis. Archive files as needed, seasonally.
* Communicates daily with vendors through PLM to monitor the progress of new developments and current production.
* Assists in weekly Product Development Meetings with Merchants, Sourcing and Design to review status of new developments, inform them on the status of any late deliveries or quality issues. Prepares the meeting by updating the PD agenda items and procuring all samples required for the weekly PD meetings. Take detailed notes during PD meetings to send accurate Re-caps to the team after the meeting.
* Partners with Design Team to expedite color and design approvals for on-time PO placement. Occasional SPEC updates are required. A basic knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop is needed. Color theory background required for communicating accurate color comments to vendors. Color checks assigned products and communicates approvals and comments through PLM daily.
* Assists with licensed programs, photographing TOP samples; updating licensed approval sites as needed.
* Builds line list for the new season during rollout meetings; updates assortment sheets in Illustrator as the season progresses.
* Mail packages out to vendors/agents daily. Keep organized files of mail sent. Send tracking to appropriate parties.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

* 2-3 years' experience with a retail or manufacturing company
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Intermediate to advanced computer proficiency, especially in Excel and basic computer knowledge for Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
* PLM experience a plus (but not required)
* High attention to detail
* Ability to successfully multi-task and prioritize
* organized and clean, your closet is always impeccable
* you have excellent communication skills, Verbal and written; you can explain complex design feedback with clarity through marked up images
* You love to work collaboratively in a group and have an innate willingness to dig in and contribute with your team
* Are a self starter who is driven, motivated and always has a positive attitude
* Pride yourself on the quality of work and are a stickler for the details
* Must be able to lift 30lb rugs on to high shelves
