About the Team

You'll be a part of the Furniture Merchandising team, responsible for assorting the new and carryover product that will drive close to 50% of the brand's sales revenue. Our team is comprised of a Director, Bedroom Furniture Buyer, Occasional Furniture Associate Buyer and Bedroom Furniture Assistant Buyer. Together with Design and Sourcing we work to develop newness to layer onto and update our assortment with. We then plan our new and carryover businesses with our Inventory partners. We manage the product from the beginning to end, working with our Creative and Ecommerce partners to make sure that everything is well represented in our Catalog and Online.

About the Role

The Associate Buyer for Occasional Furniture is responsible for assorting and planning our entire Seating and Occasional Furniture business. Our Seating assortment covers everything from Beanbags to Sectionals to Desk Chairs. You will own determining what your Needs for an upcoming season are based on previous seasons' sales and holes in the assortment, as well and planning all new and carryover. You will work closely with your Design, Sourcing, Inventory and Ecommerce partners and own your product for initial through selling. As a DTC merchant, you are also responsible for laying out the catalog ensuring that your product has new brand assets to sell it through our channels.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

* You have a Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years merchandising experience
* You have superior computer skills including business applications such as MS Windows and MS Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
* You are a self-starter, able to prioritize to-dos and manage your time
* You work well on your own and in team -- we are very collaborative, so partnerships are essential

Technical Competencies required:
