JOB DESCRIPTION

About the Team

The Jr graphics designer reports to the graphics manager and is part of the Visual Merchandising team for Pottery Barn Kids & Pottery Barn Teen. Our team is made up of visual merchandisers and graphic designers responsible for creating compelling merchandise presentations in our retail stores.

About the Role

The Jr graphics designer is responsible for the coordination, design and implementation of our design strategies for our retail spaces through signage, large format marketing, event graphics, social media assets and window graphics.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will...

* Coordinate & design seasonal signage and marketing for the retail stores; create proofs for production in InDesign; manage print production process and delivery to stores.
* Design and produce signage & social media assets for in store events and activities.
* Provide and manage weekly signage directives/communications to field.
* Design and produce signage for in-house conceptual presentations and final line reviews.
* Interact via in person/phone/email with merchant organization for approvals.
* Complete production tasks as assigned/assist other team members with miscellaneous design projects (invitations, posters, coupons, postcards, social media assets, etc.)
* Fulfill stores requests for signage and other collateral.
* Maintain and manage signage filing system.
* Attend business reviews and retail presentations to gain understanding on signage/marketing opportunities for stores.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

We're excited about you because...

* Bachelor's degree (preferred but not required) or relevant work experience.
* 1-2 years' experience with graphics support in a corporate environment.
* Proficient on Mac OSX with a strong working knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator. Experience with Microsoft Excel a plus.
* Strong portfolio of print & typographic based work.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Well organized and with strong time management skills to work in a fast paced, high-volume environment.
* Self-motivated, detail oriented and able to independently manage a project from conception to production.
