About the Role

Design products using style, theme and mood and present to design manager for approval. Develop approved designs from concept and spec, through to final proto-type sample and production approval.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will...

* Translate trends into concepts that respond to business needs (e.g., price points, brand strategy) for the relevant product category.
* Ownership to develop SKU-level designs from conception through revisions & sample approval to final production. Present to design manager for review and approval.
* Create presentation boards and present products and concepts to Merchandising.
* Be able to design into categories of both print + pattern and hard goods/decorative accessories.
* Gather market data on key fashion trends considering such elements as fabrication, materials, color schemes, designs and collaborations.
* Identify ideas to be developed.

* Strong product design experience.
* Degree in Design or equivalent experience.
* Design skills, creative and inspirational thinker, deadline driven.
* A positive attitude.
* Ability to take ownership, be a self-starter and take a pro-active approach as part of the team.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with a variety of personalities and perspectives.
* Strong time-management skills to enable development on multiple products during multiple seasons.

Technical Competencies required:

* Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator/Creative Suite
* Hand and computer sketching skills
* AutoCAD experience a plus
