JOB DESCRIPTION

About the Team

The buyer will be a part of the Decorative Accessories team within PBK, responsible for Gear, Nursery Acc and Toys. Our job is to make omni level assortment and business decisions.

About the Role

* Creating and building business strategies and seasonal assortment plans to maximize the development of the brand, sales and profits for assigned department in line with the business strategies set by Director, DMM.
* Identify opportunities and recommend new product or concepts for department.
* Coordinates information across functions working closely with Design, Inventory Management, Ecommerce, Sourcing, Allocation, Production, Creative Services, Packaging and Visual to ensure the process is followed and timelines met.
* Handles visual signage (new, specials, markdowns). Coordinates in-store collateral, online copy and image assets, photo samples and assortment tools.
* Attends and participates in Design, Inventory and Allocation meetings.
* Identify and recommend new business opportunities to drive future growth

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

We're excited about you because...

* You have a Bachelor's degree in Business or related field (an equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience may be considered)
* You have experience managing team of 2-3 people
* You have experience in home furnishings with an emphasis on kids + baby (not required but preferred)
* You have offline vendor management experience (not required but preferred)

Technical Competencies required:

* You have superior computer skills including business applications such as MS Windows and MS Office including Excel, Word and Access
