JOB DESCRIPTION

This position reports to Managing Director with a dotted line to the General Manager. Additionally, this position requires strong relations and communication with the Area Manager and Global Visual Manager as it relates to scheduling, travel and results.

Summary:

The Country Visual Manager is responsible for flawless execution of all visual merchandising directives within their home store. In addition to ASM Visual responsibilities, CVM will provide guidance and leadership to their brand visual team in the fleet. These include, but are not limited to, all aspects of visual merchandising, creative installations, marketing and window presentations.

The Country Visual Manager provides Managing Director, Global Visual Managers, General Managers, Store Management and Store Associates with consistent communication regarding brand messages, merchandising strategies and initiatives within the market.

The Country Visual Manager will continue to have ASM responsibilities within their home store.

Major Responsibilities Include:

* Floorset Execution and Store Maintenance

* Leads the execution of all seasonal visual merchandising inspiration and directive, modifying for the local market, as necessary.

* Conduct regular visual walk-throughs and create action plans to address execution, interpretation and development opportunities.
* Ensure weekly visual memos are executed consistently and within a timely fashion.
* Ensure that visual standards are maintained and elevated within stores at all times.
* Increase profitability through visual merchandising by identifying opportunities and developing and executing strategies to maximize sales.

* Training and Development

* Manage, assist in and ensure the consistent training and development of new and existing visual store associates within their home store. Leverage best practices across the team of visual ASMs.
* Understand, train and develop store teams on the use of reporting and develop customized merchandising strategies that drive top line sales.
* Ensure that all associates within their home store understand merchandising strategies and the key messages of each new flow, cascading to the visual fleet.
* Identify and recruit visual talent creating bench strength through the training and development of store management and associates.
* Develop and reinforce the use of brand-specific best practices throughout the country.

* Partner with store teams on the flow and placement of seasonal presentations. Complete floor maps in collaboration with Global Visual Manager and Managing Director and submit prior to deadline.

* Coordinate all communication between the Managing Director, Operations Manager, Global Visual Manager, and retail stores.

* Conduct weekly conference calls with all in-store Visual Managers.
* Participate in weekly calls with your Area Managers as well as the Managing Director. Present relevant information, i.e. promo presentations, visual memo follow-up, business drivers, etc., relaying any pertinent information on the weekly country visual call.
* Provide timely feedback to store associates and business partners.
* Deliver seasonal hindsights relating to product and presentation.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

* 5 years experience as a visual manager with supervisory responsibilities in a retail environment

* Ability to create a collaborative and creative environment that inspires and recognizes great ideas
* Understanding of design, composition and aesthetics. Ability to maintain brand integrity through visual display techniques. Impeccable eye for detail
* Proven ability to lead team to exceed goals while managing budgets
* Ability to attract, retain and develop top talent
* Ability to quickly adapt, develop and execute strategies successfully
* Ability to motivate, inspire and influence others
* Ability to lead self and others to achieve results
* Superior critical thinking skills to creatively identify challenges and develop action plans in a timely manner

* Ability to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods of time
* Availability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays
* Ability to travel on a quarterly basis
* Ability to lift and mobilize medium to large items, up to 23 kg., while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques
* Fluent in English and French
