JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB SUMMARY:

Assist the Merchandise Planner and/or Senior Merchandise Planner with the day-to-day activities of tracking purchase orders in terms of acceptance and on-time shipping from Vendor Partners to Freight Forwarders. This is a key person who coordinates all purchase order activities and communication between Global Merchants, Sourcing and Vendor Partners for a division within a brand. This position will also be involved in generating/compiling weekly Sales/Inventory reports & purchase order tracking reports.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Coordinate the creation and communication of purchase orders. Enter purchase orders into the NetSuite system and ensure communication of orders to agent/vendor
* Maintain communication and adjustment log of all orders and monitor status of production.
* Work with planner to monitor selling and adjust purchase order accordingly to drive sales and profitability
* Communicate all changes and cancellations of purchase orders to agent/vendor
* Monitor purchase order status, track production, shipping and receiving status of shipments.
* Maintain Purchase order tracking template pertaining to Season launch for the different Floorset
* Resolving issues relating to shipments with freight forwarders and transportation team.
* Collaborate with supply chain functions to identify and resolve supply chain issues.
* Generate weekly Business reports
* Ensure accuracy of purchase order delivery dates and proper customer notification.
* Attention to detail, follow through, communication skills

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Candidate must possess a tertiary qualification with 1-2 years of retail experience in a Merchandising and/or Purchasing role
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and strong in analytical skills
* Meticulous, organized and able to multi-task
* Superior written, communication & listening skills
* Ability to work in a fast paced, collaborative environment
* Attention to detail with strong follow through
