About the Team

You will be part of the Technical Solutions Services team responsible for designing, building, delivering and providing 3rd Level support of our Windows and Linux environment, Our job is to ensure that every WSI location, associate and customer has the best experience possible utilizing the windows solutions we provide

About the Role

In the Infrastructure IT Manager role, you will be using your experience to design, architect, troubleshoot, and engineer new windows and Linux technologies for the Williams-Sonoma business partners. A few of these technologies Microsoft O365 Applications, Puppet, WSUS, Active Directory, VMWare and new infrastructure standards for corporate and retail environment

This role reports to the Sr Manger of Infrastructure Technology Solutions Services.

* Develop and Implement the technical standards for Linux, VMWare, Windows, Active Directory, System Center, and MSO365
* Implement capacity planning for shared services across all components of infrastructure

* Work with the architects to evaluate new technologies and perform POCs (Proof of Concept labs) to extend the multi-year roadmap and set overall technical direction for our infrastructure team
* Design and implement windows and Linux infrastructure projects that will solve problems with in the windows environment.

* Work closely with intake teams to deliver new technologies in Linux and Windows and help define workflow, engineering efforts, and runbooks
* Provide insightful data to guide decision making and offer proactive solutions.

We're excited about you because...

* You have a deep and wide understanding of Linux, Windows Operating Systems, Virtualization platforms, Cloud Computing, Configuration Management tools (example: Puppet, CloudBolt) and strong familiarity with Oracle and/or SQL databases, Citrix, VMWare and/or HyperV

* You have a firm grasp of scripting techniques including WMI, Powershell, RUBY, and Automation Procvesses

* You have strong working knowledge of security best practices for Windows and MS products

* Ideally, you have experience deploying and maintaining a WSUS patch solution and experience configuring and managing AD SPN objects for use on both Windows and Linux servers

* You are very knowledgeable with Configuration, administration and performance troubleshooting experience on Linux and Windows Servers

* You have experience with configuration, administration and performance troubleshooting experience on Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Security Protocols, Certificates Management, Advanced Windows Server Services

* You work with

* You have experience with configuration, administration and performance troubleshooting experience on Latest Exchange / SharePoint versions

* You have knowledge of Server hardening, system monitoring, performance tuning and process mapping.
* You work well in a fast paced, collaborative environment

* You have strong communication skills that help convey unconventional ideas that well-grounded engineers need to be sold on

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Sciences, Engineering, or related field (an equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience may be considered)
* 10+ years of a mixture of core Server and Active Directory, System Center, including Windows Server Data Center, Virtual Engineering, Infrastructure & Configuration Management and scripting

*7+ years leading technical teams that solve complex problems and provide detailed technical and business analysis

* Superior oral and written communication skills. Ability to exhibit a commanding presence when necessary
* Superior computer skills including business applications such as MS Windows and MS Office including Excel, Access, Visio and Word. Service-Now experience a plus
* Knowledge of theory and principles of project management
