The west elm photo studio and team produces all west elm content - photography, videography, set building and various carpentry needs. The photo studio is located adjacent to the photo sample warehouse where the teams work closely on a daily basis to execute brand creative initiatives.

Our west elm Makers Studio is also located just above the photo studio, where our Designers create original seasonal products and have various meetings to review assortment. New lines of business and other company big ideas are also created within our spaces in Industry City. Our creative hub is located in the thriving design community in Industry City, Sunset Park, Brooklyn that we have been a part of since 2011.

The Studio Sample Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Studio Manager in the production and execution of all facets of studio photography, including sample ordering and studio production. This role supports the studio by working with Producers on sample coordination and partnering with the Warehouse staff on sample availability. This position is essential in being the point person for all incoming and outgoing samples request for all photo needs, and will play an integral role in executing the new sample process -- both ensuring the process is being followed and presenting solutions when faced with sample issues. Reporting to the Studio Manager, this position interacts with our Producers, Production Assistants, Warehouse, Merchandise Coordinators, Photographers, Stylists, and Art Directors.


Essential Functions:
* Main contact for Sample coordination in studio
* Supports photo team and sample coordinators to ensure all samples are staged for shoots
* Works with cross functional partners, merchants, producers, merchandise coordinators, and studio manager to ensure all samples and props are ordered in a timely manner
* Supports product coordination team by gathering and returning samples in an organized way
* Collaborate with merch coordinators and producers to develop an organized sample flow through the studio
* Ensure all samples are returned with proper labeling and protected for safe transport
* Performs additional duties and errands as assigned by studio team
* Resolve sample issues through timely communication and status updates to partners
* Handle all messengers and reception of studio

* 2-3 year's experience in a creative environment, photo studio preferred
* Basic Computer Programs -- word, excel, outlook
* Excellent planning and organizational skills
* Keen attention to detail
* Adaptive to change and tight deadlines
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Ability to balance multiple deadlines and priorities
* Enthusiastic team player
* Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
* Understanding of the West Elm brand
