Senior Production Designer, Packaging - Pottery Barn

JOB DESCRIPTION

This role will work closely with Project Management and Packaging Design to create Brand Packaging for all product categories. Candidate must be able to juggle production needs while maintaining template libraries for all categories including: specialty and core brand packaging, warnings and backstamps. Will work with CD to implement changes, as needed to maintain consistency across categories. Will work with PM's to ensure international packaging standards are met in regard to translations, cover up labels for Quebec, and any new packaging required by our franchise partners or company stores.

Duties include:

* Creation of packaging artwork based on existing artwork templates
* Reviewing dielines for accuracy
* Making artwork changes based on proofing comments
* Uploading final artwork via ftp
* Creation of packaging mock-ups as necessary
* Color correction and art manipulation in photoshop
* Updating and maintaining packaging templates
* Upholding all branding rules and applying learnings to new packaging types
* Project tracking in company database
* Maintaining and updating all packaging templates
* Working on new packaging assignments to support global expansion

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

* Keen attention to detail
* 5+ years professional production experience, preferably in an agency environment
* Bachelors degree in art, graphic design or commensurate experience
* Exceptional skills in Illustrator and Photoshop
* Typography, layout and mockup skills
* Comfortable working on multiple projects with tight deadlines
* Able to work independently and as well as with a larger team
* Ability to think ahead, identify problems, and troubleshoot
* Excellent organizational, follow-up, and communication skills
* A passion for quality and attention to details
