Distribution Planner -- Pottery Barn Outlet

The Pottery Barn Outlet Team is looking for individuals who can collaborate and thrive in a dynamic environment, demonstrate and foster innovative thinking, and apply data and intuition to develop new approaches and solve problems. As an Allocation Planner, you are responsible for allocating product and optimizing inventory for your stores in order to maximize sales comps, profit and turn goals. Agility will be key in order to fulfill needs for your stores across our regionalized network of DCs. You will be relied upon to represent the needs of your stores and provide analysis that helps influence assortment selection and promotional planning.

Position Description

* Manages allocations of all products to a defined group of stores

* Determines optimal mix of product in weekly allocations

* Provides weekly, monthly and YTD store performance analysis to the cross- functional team

* Identifies DC overstocks and recommends promotions needed

* Partners with DCs to ensure timely execution of transfers from brands to Outlet

* Makes recommendations to improve processes and tools

* Supports brand inventory reduction initiatives to manage DC capacity

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree required

* 2+ years experience in planning, buying, replenishment, finance or related field required.

* At least 2 years experience in a retail environment preferred.

* Strong technical and analytical skills required (Advanced Excel a plus)

* Ability to travel approximately 3 to 4 weeks out of the year.
